East Jay Science News from Miss Heyne's Fifth Grade Class:
The Oobleck Experiment
During our Oobleck experiment, students began by predicting the outcomes of each "test" we performed. After discussing their ideas with classmates, they carried out the experiments to observe the results. They discovered that Oobleck behaves as both a solid and a liquid. When force is applied quickly, it acts like a solid, but when force is applied slowly or it’s poured, Oobleck flows like a liquid.
