Dear Parents/Guardians,
As we place students in classes, remember we do our best to consider parent requests. However, student assignment is based on class size and academic need considerations for all children in the school. Our capacity to balance classes and properly align resources is significantly impacted by teacher requests. Please visit the link at the bottom of this letter to complete a request form. (We have sent an electronic message in Skyward, with the link, as well.) One form will need to be completed for each student.
The purpose of this form is to help us better manage teacher requests. If you feel that you would like to request a teacher for your son/daughter, for the 2022-2023 school year, this form must be completed by May 1, 2022. No teacher requests will be accepted via email, written letters, or phone calls. All requests must be completed, in this form. If you have already submitted a written request, you will need to complete this form. If internet access is unavailable to you, please come to the school, and a computer will be provided for you to complete this form. Teacher requests for the 22-23 school year will not be accepted or changed, after May 1, 2022.
Please note that by completing the form, we are not guaranteeing that your child will have their requested teacher. Failure to select three different choices, will make your request form invalid.
6th Grade students will have a departmentalized schedule, where students will have all teachers.
Please visit the link below to complete the request form.

Exciting News for EJE Fifth Grade Students--
A generous gift has been given to Fifth Grade Students by the Shoemaker Charitable Gift Fund through Art's Place, Inc. This gift gives us the opportunity to provide ukuleles for each 5th grade student in the Jay School Corporation.
Students have been learning basic playing skills in their general music classes, and will perform at the upcoming Spring program. After the program, students will be able to keep their ukuleles! We hope your student will value and cherish this gift, and that they can enjoy a lifetime of playing an instrument.
THANK YOU to the Shoemaker Charitable Gift Fund and Art's Place. ❤
Jay Schools are now closed today, Friday, February 18, 2022. An eLearning Day will be implemented.
