East Jay Elementary Student Council Announcement
Today, all East Jay Elementary students will be bringing home Tootsie Roll banks. Students are encouraged to fill the banks with donations to support United Way of Jay County and return them to school.
As part of this fundraiser, Student Council is hosting dress-up days for everyone to join in the fun. Check the attached schedule for details on each themed day.

This Bus Driver Appreciation Week, the staff and students of East Jay Elementary want to say a huge thank you to our amazing bus drivers! To show our appreciation, students created special bus artwork using mixed media, featuring their own silly photos in the windows. Your dedication keeps us safe every day, and we are grateful for all you do!

One hundred days of school, oh my!
The time has flown, it zipped right by!
We’ve read some books, we’ve made some art,
We’ve used our brains and grown so smart!
We’ve counted numbers, big and small,
We’ve walked with care and stood up tall.
We’ve learned to share, we’ve learned to care,
We’ve learned to show kindness everywhere.
So clap your hands and stomp your feet,
One hundred days is quite a feat!
The fun’s not done, there’s more in store—
Let’s learn and laugh EIGHTY more!

Last week, East Jay welcomed back staff and students with plenty of fun and creativity! The staff hosted an "Underground Spirit Week," featuring secret dress-up themes that students had to guess. Themes included PJ Day, Concert Shirt/Dress as a Favorite Musician, Anything But a Cup Day, and Flashback Friday, where staff dressed as they did in high school or middle school.
5th Grade celebrated the end of the 9 weeks with exciting reward activities, including a Pie Face Game between students and staff, followed by a movie and popcorn. Here's to more fun-filled weeks ahead at East Jay!
