Congratulations to three Jay County Jr-Sr High School Seniors who will graduate with an Associates Degree from IVY Tech Community College. Raven Dale, Lauren Brewster and Thomas Charles were recognized by the IVY Tech Marion Campus Board on Tuesday.
The following statement is from Dean Jetter, President of the John Jay Center Board of Trustees. "Three wonderful Jay County senior students were at the IVY Tech Marion Board meeting this morning. They shared how they have benefited from dual credits and what they hope to do in the future. They presented well. Thank you for the opportunities Jay County Schools gave to these three students. I was very proud to stand with them. "

The time is upon us!
Our students in grades 3, 4, 5, and 6 have been preparing for the ILEARN state assessment and it will begin on Monday April 17, 2023. Students are confident and ready to do their absolute best on this assessment!
Just a reminder that that attendance is very important during this time:
-The week of April 17th, we will plan to test on Monday -Thursday.
-The week of April 24th, we will plan to test on Monday-Wednesday.
-The week of May 1st (for Grades 4, 5, and 6 only) we plan to test Monday-
Wednesday.
All testing is planned for the morning.
It is important to make sure that they are well rested, have the chromebook charged, and ready to get started right away in the morning after Breakfast in the Classroom concludes.

In order to mitigate potentially severe weather impacts at dismissal time, options for Wednesday include implementing a Remote Learning day. As the forecast becomes more clear over the next 12 hours, we will announce our decision by 6:00 AM tomorrow.

All K-6 Chromebooks will stay at school over Spring Break. The chromebooks will be cleaned physically and digitally, so they will be ready for schoolwork on Monday March 27.

Bloomfield: Just a reminder that the Recycling Dumpsters will be taken away on Wednesday March 15th due to an upgrade of concrete on the west side of school. They will be gone for several weeks.

We are excited to invite parents of incoming kindergarten students to join us in person for Kindergarten Round up! During this meeting, parents will be able to meet the staff and hear important information about Kindergarten enrollment. Please report to your home building.
